Again woke up early. A nearby church had a thrift shop open. I needed another pair of pants, a backpack, a notebook, socks and a used pair of sneakers.
The shop was open from 10AM-3PM so i thought i had some time.
I tried to hang out at corners like Dwayne, hoping to score some cash. It didn't work, it felt ackward. He had warned me about the feeling.
I went to hang out with JC a bit and lost track of time.
I barely made it to the thrift shop, with just 5 minutes left to shop. I found 2 tee shirts, a simple hat and a nice sleeping bag.
They assumed it was a comforter and i didn't say anything. I walked out and was about to leave the church grounds... but my heart knew it was wrong.
I walked back to the shop and told them that it was a sleeping bag and asked if i owed them any money. They said it was ok.
Sometimes it's hard to be honest, temptation is everywhere. I'm trying my best to be an honest man.
I set up the new "bed" and then saw one of the shirts i had bought was too small.
I guess it was god's way of saying "Gotcha!", heh.
I'm trying to keep a positive attitude.
That night i slept much better.
